| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
rdiffweb versions prior to 2.5.5
Description
The issue is related to a failure to sanitize special elements, which can lead to special element injection. Specifically, in rdiffweb, the lack of sanitization of characters in SSH key names could allow an attacker to inject a hyperlink, potentially redirecting victims to malicious websites.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 2.5.5, update to version 2.5.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of SSH key names to minimize the risk of exploitation.
