CVE-2022-30651

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe InCopy versions 17.2 (and earlier) and 16.4.1 (and earlier)
Description The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability when parsing a crafted file, which could result in a read past the end of an allocated memory structure. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is also related to the parsing of specially crafted font data.
Recommendations For Adobe InCopy versions 17.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 17.2 to resolve the issue. For Adobe InCopy versions 16.4.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 16.4.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of crafted or untrusted files until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
