Description The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is also associated with a buffer overflow in memory, which can be exploited using specially crafted font data.
Recommendations For Adobe InDesign versions 17.2.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 17.2.1 to resolve the issue. For Adobe InDesign versions 16.4.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 16.4.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of potentially malicious font files until a patch is available.
