Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the Visual Analyzer component of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, allowing a remote attacker to read data or modify it via HTTP requests. Successful attacks require human interaction and can result in unauthorized access to some data, including read and update capabilities.
Recommendations
For version 5.9.0.0.0, consider restricting access to the Visual Analyzer component until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP requests to minimize the risk of exploitation.
