Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux Kernel versions prior to v5.17.14
Description
The issue is related to a potential use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability in the NFC component. It is noted that the actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven. The problem is addressed by NULLing out the dev->rfkill to prevent UAF.
Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v5.17.14, update to version v5.17.14 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider applying the patch commit 4a68938f43b7c2663e4c90bb9bbe29ac8b9a42a0 to the affected kernel version.
