CVE-2022-1866

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome on Chrome OS versions prior to 102.0.5005.61
Description The issue is related to the use of memory after it has been freed in Tablet Mode, which could allow a remote attacker to disclose protected information by exploiting heap corruption through specific user interactions on a specially crafted web page. A remote attacker who convinces a user to engage in specific interactions could potentially exploit this.
Recommendations For versions prior to 102.0.5005.61, update to version 102.0.5005.61 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting user interactions in Tablet Mode until the update is applied.
