Description
A refcount leak was discovered in the bbc beep probe function of the sparcspkr module. The issue was introduced in version v2.6.26 and fixed in version v5.15.46. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.
Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions 2.6.26 through 5.15.45, update to version v5.15.46 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the sparcspkr module until a patch is available.
