Description
The issue is related to the
xfrm4 protocol init() function. It was introduced in version v3.15 and fixed in Linux Kernel version v4.14.283. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For versions prior to v4.14.283, update to Linux Kernel version v4.14.283 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
