Description
The issue is related to a potential buffer overflow in the
fcoe wwn from mac() function. This function is used in the Linux Kernel's FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) implementation. The actual impact and attack plausibility of this issue have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v4.14.283, update to version v4.14.283 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the FCoE functionality until a patch is applied.
