Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux Kernel versions prior to v5.15.51
Description
The issue is related to a use-after-free error in the sysfs trigger of the iio subsystem. This problem was introduced in version v3.7 and is fixed in version v5.15.51. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.
Recommendations
For versions prior to v5.15.51, update to version v5.15.51 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the sysfs trigger to minimize the risk of exploitation.
