Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the
Item func in::cleanup/Item::cleanup processor function of the MariaDB database management system. This could allow a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. The vulnerability is associated with a segmentation fault via the Item func in::cleanup/Item::cleanup processor component.Recommendations
For MariaDB versions 10.2 through 10.7, consider disabling the
Item func in::cleanup/Item::cleanup processor function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
