Description
The issue is related to a refcount leak in the mt8173 rt5650 rt5676 dev probe function. It was introduced in version v4.2 and fixed in version v5.19.2. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.
Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v5.19.2, update to version v5.19.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the mt8173 rt5650 rt5676 dev probe function until a patch is available.
