Description
The issue is related to a potential off-by-one overflow in the
il4965 rs fill link cmd() function. This function is part of the wifi driver, specifically the iwlegacy module for the 4965 chipset. The actual impact and attack plausibility of this issue have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v4.19.256, update to version v4.19.256 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the wifi driver until a patch is applied.
