CVE-2022-2321

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions heroiclabs/nakama versions prior to 3.13.0
Description The issue is related to an improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts, which can lead to login brute-force attacks. This allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information using a brute force attack. The Nakama Console does not enforce any limit for the number of unsuccessful login attempts.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.13.0, update to version 3.13.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider implementing a custom limit for the number of unsuccessful login attempts to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to the login functionality to minimize the risk of brute-force attacks until the issue is resolved.
