Description
The issue is related to a possible memory leak caused by a missing
pci dev put() call. This problem was introduced in version v4.4 and is fixed in version v4.14.300. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v4.14.300, update to version v4.14.300 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
