Description
The issue is related to a Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the dynamic memory of Adobe InCopy, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted file. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For Adobe InCopy versions 17.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 17.2 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe InCopy versions 16.4.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 16.4.1 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of untrusted or unknown files with Adobe InCopy until a patch is available.
