Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the dynamic memory of the libMtkOmxAlacDec.so library, which is used for ALAC decoding in Sony Xperia series 1, 5, and Pro. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability is also described as an out of bound memory access due to the lack of validation of the number of frames being passed during music playback.
