Description A buffer overflow vulnerability exists due to a missing check on the input packet length in the babel packet examin() function in babeld/message.c. This issue can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For versions through 8.1.0, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the babel packet examin() function until a patch is available.
