Description A buffer overflow vulnerability exists due to a wrong check on the input packet length in the babel packet examin function in babeld/message.c. This issue may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For versions through 8.1.0, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the babel packet examin function until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
