Description
The issue is related to an improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS Command, which may allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands in the underlying shell. This could potentially enable a remote attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands.
Recommendations
For FortiTester versions 2.3.0 through 3.9.1, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For FortiTester versions 4.0.0 through 4.2.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For FortiTester versions 7.0.0 through 7.1.0, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Console login components until a patch is available.
