Description A use-after-free issue was discovered in the drivers/net/hamradio/6pack.c component of the Linux kernel. This issue is related to the use of memory after it has been freed. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service by crashing the Linux kernel. This can be achieved by simulating an ax25 device using the 6pack driver from user space.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
