CVE-2022-21635

CVSS v2.0

8.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MySQL Server versions 8.0.29 and prior
Description The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the InnoDB component of the MySQL Server. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to gain read, modify, add, or delete access to data. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification of critical data, as well as the ability to cause a hang or crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations For versions 8.0.29 and prior, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive data and critical components of the MySQL Server to minimize potential damage from unauthorized access. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
