Description
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in the dynamic memory of Adobe InDesign, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user by using a specially crafted file. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For Adobe InDesign versions 16.4.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 16.4.2 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe InDesign versions 17.3 and earlier, update to a version later than 17.3 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of SVG files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
