VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Corel CorelDRAW Graphics Suite version 23.5.0.506
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. User interaction is required to exploit this, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of JP2 images, resulting from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data. This can lead to a read past the end of an allocated object, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process in conjunction with other vulnerabilities.
Recommendations For Corel CorelDRAW Graphics Suite version 23.5.0.506, consider disabling the JP2 image parsing functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious files or web pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the affected software to open or parse JP2 files from untrusted sources. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
