CVSS v2.0
5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier
Description
The issue is a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It can be exploited if an attacker convinces a victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page, allowing malicious JavaScript content to be executed within the context of the victim's browser. This occurs due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, potentially enabling remote attackers to perform inter-site script attacks using a specially crafted link in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier, consider disabling access to vulnerable pages until a patch is available. Restrict the execution of malicious JavaScript content within the context of the victim's browser to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
