CVE-2022-42360
CVSS v2.0
5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It occurs due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to perform inter-site scripting attacks using a specially crafted link within the context of the current user. If a low-privileged attacker convinces a victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page, malicious JavaScript content may be executed within the context of the victim's browser.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable pages until a patch is available. Avoid using links that reference vulnerable pages in the affected Adobe Experience Manager versions until the issue is resolved.
