Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the kernel of Oracle Solaris, which can be exploited to cause a denial of service. A low-privileged attacker with logon access to the infrastructure where Oracle Solaris is executed can compromise Oracle Solaris, resulting in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the system.
Recommendations
For Oracle Solaris version 11, apply the necessary patches or updates to fix the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
