5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier
Description
The issue exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure. An attacker, acting remotely, can exploit this to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted link. This is a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, where a low-privileged attacker can convince a victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page, resulting in the execution of malicious JavaScript content within the victim's browser.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier, consider disabling access to vulnerable pages until a patch is available. Restrict the use of links that reference vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using links that could potentially execute malicious JavaScript content within the context of the victim's browser. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
