Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wicked Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.18.16
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax save state function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to invoke this function via forged requests if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, leading to actions intended for administrators, like changing the folder structure maintained by the plugin.
Recommendations For Wicked Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.18.16, consider disabling the ajax save state function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to administrative actions that could be manipulated through Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
