CVE-2023-0726

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wicked Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.18.16
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax edit folder function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to invoke this function via forged requests if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, leading to actions intended for administrators like changing the folder structure maintained by the plugin.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.18.16, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax edit folder function. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ajax edit folder function until a patch is available.
