| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, which may allow malicious JavaScript content to be executed within the context of a victim's browser if they visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page. This can be achieved by a low-privileged attacker convincing the victim to visit such a URL. The vulnerability is also described as being related to insufficient protection of the web page structure, potentially allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted web page.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.14 and earlier, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, be cautious when clicking on links from untrusted sources to avoid potential attacks. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
