Description The issue is related to the handling of JSON data and results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. This can allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of root. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the rex cgi JSON parsing functionality.
