Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the implementation of the application programming interface of the Cisco TelePresence Collaboration Endpoint (CE) and Cisco RoomOS software. This could allow an attacker to conduct path traversal attacks, view sensitive data, or write arbitrary files on an affected device.
Recommendations
For Cisco TelePresence Collaboration Endpoint (CE) Software, consider restricting access to sensitive data and files until a patch is available.
For Cisco RoomOS Software, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling any functionality that allows writing arbitrary files until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
