CVE-2022-2119

CVSS v2.0

10

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OFFIS DCMTK versions prior to 3.6.7
Description The issue is related to a path traversal vulnerability in the service class provider (SCP) of OFFIS DCMTK, allowing an attacker to write DICOM files into arbitrary directories under controlled names. This could potentially lead to remote code execution. The vulnerability also allows a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise its integrity, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.6.7, update to version 3.6.7 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the SCP service to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable SCP service until the issue is resolved.
