Description The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the SetHostIPv6StaticSettings() function when handling the StaticAddress parameter. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device. The vulnerability is due to the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. The specific flaw exists within the handling of XML data provided to the "HNAP1 SOAP endpoint".
