Description
The issue is related to the Updater service of Parallels Desktop, where a Time-Of-Check Time-Of-Use flaw allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target host system in order to exploit this flaw. The specific flaw exists within the Updater service, where an attacker can create a symbolic link to abuse the service and execute a file, potentially escalating privileges and executing arbitrary code in the context of root.
