Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in memory, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of PDF-XChange Editor. This can be achieved by exploiting the parsing of PNG files, where crafted data can trigger a write past the end of an allocated buffer. User interaction is required, such as visiting a malicious page or opening a malicious file, to exploit this issue. The flaw exists within the parsing of PNG files, enabling an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process.
