CVE-2022-43241

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Libde265 version 1.0.8
Description The issue is related to the ff hevc put hevc qpel v 3 8 sse() function in the Libde265 video codec implementation, which is associated with a buffer overflow in memory. This allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted video file. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially created video file.
Recommendations For Libde265 version 1.0.8, update to version 1.0.11 to fix the security issues. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the ff hevc put hevc qpel v 3 8 sse() function in the sse-motion.cc file until the update is applied.
