Description The issue is related to the qcom rng read() function in the Linux kernel, which can cause an infinite loop when the max value is not a multiple of WORD SZ. This can be reproduced by running the command kcapi-rng -b 67 >/dev/null. The problem was caused by the removal of a break statement from the else branch in the qcom rng read() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
