CVE-2022-48863

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the dsp pipeline build() function in the mISDN component of the Linux kernel. It involves the allocation of a dup pointer by kstrdup(cfg), which is then updated by strsep(&dup, "|"). As a result, when kfree(dup) is called, the dup variable contains NULL, leading to a memory leak. This could potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
