CVE-2022-48925

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The vulnerability is related to the RDMA/cma component of the Linux kernel and is caused by the use of memory after it has been freed. This can lead to a denial of service. The issue arises when the state is not idle, and the resolve prepare src() function overwrites the src addr while trying to build a temporary any address. This can cause the src addr to be corrupted, particularly if the state is already RDMA CM LISTEN. The vulnerability can be exploited to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
