CVE-2022-48888

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a memory leak in the msm mdss parse data bus icc path function. The of icc get() function allocates resources for path1, which should be released when no longer needed. However, an early return when IS ERR OR NULL(path0) may cause a leak of path1. To fix this, the getting of path1 is deferred. This issue can potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
