Description A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the NBNS functionality. This issue can be triggered by a specially-crafted network packet, potentially leading to remote code execution. An attacker can exploit this by sending a malicious packet.
Recommendations For version 1.3.34, consider restricting access to the NBNS functionality until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, network traffic should be monitored closely for suspicious packets to minimize the risk of exploitation.
