Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Perfect Survey WordPress plugin versions prior to 1.5.2
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. It occurs because the plugin does not properly sanitise and escape certain parameters, specifically
id and filters[session id] of the single statistics page, and type and message of the importexport page, before outputting them in the admin dashboard. This can lead to security issues.Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.5.2, update to version 1.5.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the admin dashboard and the
single statistics and importexport pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the parameters id, filters[session id], type, and message in the affected pages until the issue is resolved.Exploit
