Description
The issue concerns a lack of authorisation and CSRF checks when saving settings, allowing low-privilege users to update them. Additionally, the lack of sanitisation and escaping could lead to Stored Cross-Site Scripting issues.
Recommendations
For Dropdown Menu Widget WordPress plugin versions 1.9.7 and earlier, update to a version that includes authorisation and CSRF checks, and properly sanitizes and escapes user input to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting issues.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
