| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM Maximo Asset Management versions 7.6.1.1 through 7.6.1.2
Description
The issue is caused by improper validation of input by the HOST headers, allowing a remote attacker to inject HTTP HOST headers by sending a specially crafted HTTP request. This enables the attacker to conduct various attacks against the vulnerable system, including cross-site scripting, cache poisoning, or session hijacking.
Recommendations
For versions 7.6.1.1 and 7.6.1.2, consider restricting access to the vulnerable HOST headers to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the vulnerable HTTP request processing may help mitigate the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
