Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 20.005.30418 and earlier, update to a version later than 20.005.30418 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 22.003.20281 and earlier, update to a version later than 22.003.20281 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 22.003.20282 and earlier, update to a version later than 22.003.20282 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
