CVE-2020-36704

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Fruitful Theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.8.1
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via several parameters stored via the "fruitful theme options action" AJAX action due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.8.1, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "fruitful theme options action" AJAX action to minimize the risk of exploitation.
