CVE-2020-36749

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Easy Testimonials plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 3.6.1
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the saveCustomFields() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to save custom fields via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing a specific action.
Recommendations For versions up to and including 3.6.1, update to a version that includes proper nonce validation for the saveCustomFields() function to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the saveCustomFields() function until a patch is available.
