| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
uListing plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.6.6
Description
The issue allows for generic SQL Injection via the
listing id parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This enables unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, potentially extracting sensitive information from the database.Recommendations
For versions up to and including 1.6.6, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent SQL Injection attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
listing id parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.Exploit
